Application Development

If you’re trying to build something that hasn’t been done before, or is custom for you, you’re looking for a custom “application”.

We try to keep things simple when it comes to applications, to avoid unnecessary industry jargon and often faulty assumptions.  We start every application development project with a requirements process. We’ll want to meet with your team, and particularly any important stakeholders or users of the end product to understand their expectations and what will make this project a success in their eyes, as well as what will make the project add value to your organization; after all, that’s why you’re building it.

From there, we’ll determine the right code language to use to accomplish your project, this could be a single language, or most often a combination of languages based on the desired end result. Most common possibilities include:

  • HTML 4/5
  • CSS3
  • JavaScript
  • PHP
  • ASP / .NET
  • SharePoint (part of the Microsoft application suite)
  • Ruby (on Rails)
